This is one of the most unprofessional places I have ever encountered. I called to cancel a reservation at the 1-800 # on the website. While I will admit it was a day late, I explained to the operator it was due to my child being sick and unable to go. When I called the day before (Sunday) during the time frame to call, there was no answer. The day I called to cancel my reservation was the following day, Monday morning at 7:32 am and in doing so, I spoke to the operator, who then proceeded to contact the establishment to cancel since they were not authorized to do so. I was told I would be getting an email regarding cancellation, and I would not be charged as a curtesy and due to the circumstances. When I check the next day, I was charged for one night. I called the 1-800 number the next day and explained to several people in reservation of what had happened and when I finally got to the GM, she informed me I was going to be charged regardless. I explained to the GM of my call and at first, she stated 1) They didn’t receive the call 2) No one would have authorized the credit since it needed to go through her or her management 3) No one told them of the call. I then proceeded to provide details such as date and time of call and it was placed on the 1-800 number and then is when she stated 1) Yes, someone in my establishment had to have cancelled the reservation 2) Nobody informed her. I asked if she could follow-up with the individual who canceled my reservation since I was able to provide the date/time I placed the call and her response was only to “call Hilton and handle it with them”. The money is not the issue, the issue is how she insisted nobody had told her and if nobody told her, it didn’t happen. Even after I provide details of the call, she refused to investigate the matter further. She stated, “You’re not hearing what you want” and be it what it is, she then started to speak as if I was a staff because she kept asking me questions and answering them, not providing me the opportunity to answer. Her not looking to see who was working at 7:32 am when the call was placed, refusal to look who cancelled the reservation (the system could tell) and her condescending tone made it worse when she insisted of nobody having the authority to waive a fee (which is understandable) and it wasn’t going to happen unless she said so (again understandable). If she would have looked into the matter further, or at a minimum state something to the effect that's not our policy and our employees are not trained to do that, if told it was a misunderstanding, while i still would be upset, that would have sufficed. The fact the GM stated it was a franchise and if I wanted resolution to contact Hilton is in of itself off putting. It’s unfortunate because they lost a potential future customer. Given the fact they are so close to Legoland, I will gladly look at Hampton Inn Middletown located at 20 Cyst Run Crossing, Middletown NY 10941 845-344-3400, which is a 10-minute drive to Legoland or Tru by Hilton located at 41 Dunning Rd, Middletown, NY 10940 845-343-4100 which is a 15-minute drive to Legoland, I will gladly look at other places. Again, the money is not the issue, the blatant unprofessionalism of how to handle someone, passing it along and blaming corporate shows me this is not a place I would want to step foot in.

This was my first time staying in a Home2, and I was pleasantly surprised how homey and comfortable it was. We only stayed one night, but I can see how they've carefully considered the amenities people would want/need if they were staying long term. The hotel was super clean, the lobby was a great space for hanging out, and the staff was very friendly. Close to shopping and food, too. If you're looking for a clean, spacious room in a reasonably priced hotel, this is it!

We all enjoyed our stay here. The room was spotless and the beds were pretty comfortable. We got two double beds and a pullout sofa so the room was bigger than your average hotel room breakfast is served from 6 AM till 9 AM. It was pretty basic, but I also saw a waffle maker,. I wish it went a little later because being on vacation we like to relax in the morning. They did have 24 hour coffee /tea . I did take advantage of the gym which was really nice. We did not use the pool but it looked really nice. I have been here twice already. The galleria mall is within a mile amongst many restaurants and fast food.(McDonald’s, Burger King ,Wendy’s, sonic) just to name a few .Walmart is about 2 miles away.. this is a pet friendly hotel, but I never heard any dogs during our two nights day. Overall, we had a nice day, and I would recommend if you are in the area

Decent price for a large room w kitchen. ONE problem was that we bought a lot of food that required a microwave and our microwave was NOT working the entire 1st day. I alerted the front desk 3 times but it was not fixed. By dinnertime, we could not eat frozen food so we had to order food - $70 and 40 minutes later we ate take-out. Someone fixed the microwave the following afternoon. SECOND problem was we retired very early on the second night. We were exhausted! Lights out & TV off by 9:30pm. Around 10pm our hotel room phone rang! It was the front desk saying that there was a noise complaint against us. How was this possible? You woke us all up! Not cool. I'm hoping to get some kind of hotel credit or reimbursement because we travel a lot and this was a very below average trip. Pool was nice. open 5am - 10pm which is very convenient. Breakfast was decent. Front desk staff were kind but too much went wrong so the nice parts of the trip were overshadowed.

Wonderful room, large space, great bathroom with roomy shower and heightened shower head for those who are taller and have issues at hotels, great service, friendly staff, overall great experience. Only issue is the false fire alarm, which started quite early in the morning and shook us awake with quite an unnecessary startle.
